Wax Service Submission Instructions:

Welcome to the Choice Design Jewelry model quotes page. To obtain price and time quotes and to submit jobs for making wax jewelry models, please follow the instructions below to email us.

Wax Model Job Instructions

  • Provide your complete information when attaching your file
    • Name / business
    • Address, City, State, Zip
    • Phone and email contacts
    • Account number (if applicable)
  • After you email your file we will get back to you with a price quote and time frame for completion of your model (usually within 2 hours of receiving your submission)
  • Please fill out as much info as possible so we can accurately assess your file
  • We can accept the following file types; .STL, 3DM, VTF (you may inquire about other file types)
  • .STL is the preferable file type (please make sure your files are "water tight solids")
  • Provide any special shipping or handling instructions

 

Email Instructions

  • You may submit files through email as attachments (for files under 10MB)
  • Files can be zipped for faster transfers and to minimize email attachment size
  • For files over 10MB in size, we recommend using a service like www.yousendit.com to transfer files to us

Privacy and Integrity:
We assure your privacy and confidentiality. Your files remain on file with us for only 90 days and are then destroyed. Please keep backup files of designs in your possession for your records and future jobs.

Submitting CAD Service Work Instructions

A) Submit Your Design:
Submit your design via the form provided here to the left of these instructions.

B) Design Evaluation:
To reduce any unexpected results, we will look over your file and quickly double check your models integrity. If there are any foreseeable problems we will contact you before we produce your piece. We will give you a free design evaluation, review your file prior to production, and make changes with your approval.

C) Free Estimates:
We will contact you with an estimate of cost and production time (most jobs are done within 24-48hrs). Once we are assured of the best outcome, we then grow (rapid prototype) or mill your wax model. Based on the model design, we may suggest a wax making method for best results. Having these two different methods (rapid prototype, milling) provides our clients an advantage since various models and designs require different building approaches. Also, depending on the type of modeling, different machines have maximum build envelope and other considerations.

D) Overnight Shipping Available:
Your file will be produced, cleaned, and carefully packaged ready for delivery within 24-48 hours of receipt. (any changes that need to be made to the file could delay shipping time.)
